Q: Where can I get a VW rabbit logo for the car?
My boyfriend has a VW Rabbit. It doesnt have that little silver rabbit logo on the back. I want to buy one for him, but cant find anything online. Where can I get one at?

Q: Could a ignition coil in a 1983 VW Rabbit cause the fuel pump to not engage?
I know the fuel pump is good and the fuel pump relay is good also. It also doesn't provide a spark but once in a great while after messing with the ignition same goes for the fuel pump, it wont activate unless you mess with the ignition. So any help would be greatly appreciated.
Also it is a gas engine if that makes any difference. 1.8L from a VW Scirocco, doubt that would make a difference but just thought it could possibly be useful to know.
A: You have a water leak into the fuse block ? Pinched wiring harness from a fender bender? Check your main ground/body ground. Maybe a bad ignition switch ?
Q: Does anyone know how to change the Low-Beam light bulbs on the VW Rabbit 07? Is it easy?
I plan on purchasing a 2007 Volkswagen Rabbit 2.5 this upcoming Saturday, I would like to upgrade the standard H7 bulbs to Blue H7's however i haven't had a look under the hood, does the whole bumper need to be removed to access the lights or is it a easy job?
A: With hood up trace wire harness to the light,unplug,their are 2 little clips on this , un- plug Bulb assembly will disconnect with a half turn or so.This may be tight because of the rubber seal.It is good to wear cotton gloves.If you touch to new bulb with you fingers the oil will create a hot spot on the new bulb causing it to burn out faster. follow in reverse to install the new bulb.Make sure to lights has been off for a while.They get very hot.

A: Remove the old one, dispose of it properly, and put the new one in, remembering to tighten the nut and bolt!

I got the bulb out but is there an easier way to get the clip back in? I didnt remove the headlight casing at all.

A: having owned a newish VW and having been on the VW owner forums, and known many other VW owners... buy somehting else. they may run to 300K like other cars, but only if you are hemoraging money into them to keep them on the road. the 99-05 jetta and golf were often ranked 'least reliable' car available in the US.
the new ones are a little better, they are now about equal to a Dodge Caliber in reliability.
actually, i wouldn't buy either car. both get poor gas mileage for their class, one is not very reliable. the reliable one drives poorly.
in that class, two cars that are fun to drive and reliable are the Mazda 3 (they make a hatch back if that's what she wants) and the Civic. the mazda 3 is more fun, the civic better fuel economy. on the more reliable end is the corolla, but it drives like a buick.

vw rabbit pickup, also known as Caddy. were manufactured in the US at the westmoreland, PA plant. From appox 1979 to 1983 does anyone know how many sold in the us? Is there a website with this info?

Although the pickups were sold in 84 & 85, the production actually stopped in mid 1983. Production then moved to Yugoslavia later that year, and were churning out 1000 Caddy's (Re-named) per month until war broke out in 1991. The Caddy is still produced in Port Elizabeth, South Africa.
Q: My 1982 VW Rabbit will only start if it is in gear, its got a Scirocco engine and transmission in it from?
a later year. Anybody have any ideas why it would do this? It is a Gasoline engine and not the diesel model
I don't think that it has a neutral safety switch. also its a five speed
A: Sorry to tell you that this car doesn't have a neutral safety switch if it is a manual car! And doesn't have a clutch switch either. So you don't have to have the clutch pushed into start it! I believe you have another issue at hand here! Try replacing you ignition switch and see what happens!

I'm looking to get a new VW Rabbit and I'm just wondering what other people are paying for them and how much I should put down. Q: How can I find out what year my motor was made in? I have a VW Rabbit but it has a Scirocco engine in it.?
Along with a Scirocco transmission. The car will only start if you have it in gear and I am trying to figure out what is wrong with it.
also the Rabbit itself is a 1982 and the engine in side is newer

Q: I have a 1979 vw rabbit (gas) and the fuel pump cuts out intermitently how do i fix it?
I have replaced the fuel pump relay and the fuel pump. When I jump with a wire from the connections in the fuse box the pump will run. please help!!!!!!!!!also do you know a web site that has a compleate wiring diagram that i dont have to pay for.
A: This is a car that has a huge problem with the fuse box. If you jump it at the box and it runs it may be time for a new one. Also check your grounds are they clean and tight?
Q: Need a wiring harness for a 84 VW rabbit?
I have a 1984 volkswagen rabbit convertible that I'm trying to restore. The engine work is complete but the electrical is in pretty bad shape. The fuel injector isn't even getting power to run the car by itself. I figured to just get a complete new wiring harness for the car and go from there instead of trying to find the glitches one by one. I tried JcWhitney, but it looks like they don't have anything. Anyone know of someplace online or even offline that I could get one of these?
